About

We build brands. Then we prove they're working.

Where we started

Canadian Branding Atelier Ltd. opened in 2022, building brands and websites for Canadian small businesses by hand.

Two things about our industry bothered us from the start. The jargon — small business owners nodding politely at words nobody uses in real life. And the shrug — spend the money, get something pretty, and when you ask whether it worked, hear: “these things take time.”

What we changed

So we now work by two rules. We write and speak in plain words — if your neighbour wouldn't understand it, we rewrite it. And we measure the work: every brand gets a score before we touch anything, and the same score after, so you can see what your money did.

Measuring like this used to be a luxury — the checking, comparing, and re-checking took weeks of billable time. We've found ways to do it in a fraction of that, and we pass the saving on.

How we work

A small studio, senior people on every job, and a Brand Score taken before and after — so the work has to prove itself, not just look nice.

What you can count on

  • The same senior people on your project, from first call to final file
  • A fixed price, agreed before we start
  • Plain words — if your neighbour wouldn't understand it, we rewrite it
  • Your Brand Score, before and after — proof you can point to

What we'll never do

  • Hand you work a real person didn't shape and check
  • Bill by the hour, or surprise you on the invoice
  • Hide behind jargon or buzzwords
  • Leave you guessing whether it actually worked

Canadian, properly

Canadian-owned and operated. We work with businesses across the country, in English today and French soon.

Plain dealings

You'll know the cost before we start, and what you're getting for it. No surprises on the invoice.

Yours to keep

Every file, password, and account we create belongs to you. If we ever part ways, everything keeps working.
